Our Principal Partner, Mr. M.J Onigbanjo SAN was one of the keynote speakers at the 2nd Edition of the Annual International Litigation and Asset Recovery Forum, Lagos 2014 which took place on the 4th day of November, 2014. At the program, he delivered a paper titled ‘Appointment and Removal of Receivers-Strategies and Opportunities’.

While delivering the well received paper at the program which was attended by a cross section of lawyers from Nigeria and the International Community, Mr Onigbanjo SAN focused on the Appointment of Receivers, modes of appointing the receivers, the effect of appointing Receivers, instances where Receivers may be appointed and the removal of Receivers.

In conclusion, He pointed out amongst other salient points the lacuna created by the lack of any statutory procedure for the removal of a Receiver in Nigeria.
