On the 4th March 2014 the litigation team of M.J Onigbanjo & Co has successfully secured the acquittal of seven (7) indigent defendants in Charge No: LCD/1/2003 -The State V Mustapha Salami & Ors, before the High Court of Lagos State. Judgment delivered by Justice O. Gbajabiamila.

The Defendants were charged with two count charge of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and one count of armed robbery and if convicted faced imprisonment terms of not less than 21 Years. The litigation team that represented the Defendants was led by our M.J. Onigbanjo SAN, other members of the team include Ebelechukwu Maduekwe, Atinuke Oshodi , Chinelo Okakpu and Temitope Atiba.

Our litigation team at M.J Onigbanjo & Co successfully got the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos to upturn the conviction of the Appellants in Appeal No: CA/L/716/09 Tunji Olagesin & Anr. V The State, The judgment upturning the conviction of the Appellants was delivered on 28th November 2012 by Justice Amina Adamu-Augie.The accused persons had earlier been convicted by the High Court of Lagos State on three counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery and robbery with violence and sentenced to a total of 21 years imprisonment each with hard labor.
